The betting structure is used to define the amount a player can bet during a poker game.Depending on the option of betting, it can sometimes be a fixed amount and sometimes a free amount. There are three betting options Poker:
- The No Limit (No Limit Texas Hold’em), the structure being the most popular to date.
- The Fixed Limit (Limit Texas Hold’em Fixed)
- The Pot Limit (Texas Hold’em Pot Limit)
A player who wishes to re-raise, must add at least the amount of last raise. Where a player raises the big blind ($ 100) for a total of $ 325 (or a raise of $ 225) the next player must raise a minimum of $ 550 ($ 225 and $ 225 to complete the additional stimulus). In “No Limit” each player can bet up to his stack.
The amount of the wager is fixed in advance and is valid for all players at the table.
For example, if you bet $ 1 to $ -2, the Paris will be distributed as follows: $ 1 for the first two rounds (preflop and flop) and $ 2 for the other two rounds (the Turn and River). If the initial investment is set at $ 1, each player will have to bet $ 1, no more no less. If a player wishes to resume the game, it will add an additional $ 1 to a total of $ 2. Each bet must be placed by adding $ 1 (then $ 2 for the last two betting rounds).
This option is useful for beginners in poker. At the limt $ -2 $ 1, a player can only lose 1 or $ 2 per round. With other betting options in poker, a player may lose his background in one turn, which can be catastrophic for a beginner.
Each player can bet or raise an amount equal to the pot (POT money or chips placed in the middle of the table during the betting rounds). If the pot contains $ 100, while the maximum stake a player can make is $ 100.
Each new development increases the amount of pot and the maximum amount he can raise. When a player bets are added to the pot it up to calculate the new amount of the pot. It is a rather complex calculation, but eventually one gets used to it.
For example, there are $ 100 in the pot, my opponent has bet $ 50 before me, I will have to complete $ 50 for the last match and I can raise up to $ 200 (new amount of the pot: $ 100 50 $ 50 $) for a total bet of $ 250 ($ 50 for my $ 200 bet + Recovery).
For this option, the minimum bet is determined by the amount of the Big Blind. If the small blind is $ 5 and $ 10 big blind, the minimum bet on each round of auction will be $ 10. Unlike the fixed limit, the setting does not double in the last round.
